How to Use the Identification Assistant
The Identification Assistant does not positively identify a plumeria by itself. It helps narrow likely choices by comparing traits, photos, source clues, and growing context.
Best information to provide
- Clear flower photos in different light if possible.
- Leaf photos, tree habit, and inflorescence photos.
- Fragrance, flower size, bloom season, and color behavior.
- Where the plant came from and any possible name or AKA.
How to read results
- Treat results as likely candidates, not proof.
- Compare multiple traits, not one flower photo.
- Use source history and known origin when available.
- Submit corrections or photos if the record can be improved.
Many plumeria cultivars can look similar. Lighting, heat, humidity, bloom age, and plant health can change color and form, so identification should be handled carefully.
