History reference
History gives cultivar records context that photos alone cannot provide.
Imported history and collection references are being folded into Plumeria Database so important names, breeders, nurseries, gardens, and older source material do not disappear when older sites are retired.

Collection History
Collection pages can preserve context for groups such as Moragne, Thornton, Florida Colors, Jim Little, Jungle Jack, Norwood, Ford, and Stafford.
People and Sources
Breeders, growers, collectors, nurseries, and historical societies often explain why a cultivar name exists and how it entered circulation.
Record Support
History is not visual identification proof, but it can support origin, AKA, parentage, seedling, and registration notes on cultivar records.
Imported Material
Some reference pages began as legacy source archive archive material. The useful parts are being rewritten and connected to Plumeria Database pages.
Evidence Matters
Claims should be reviewed against source material when possible. Unverified history can remain as a note until better evidence is available.
Future Direction
The strongest history items should eventually become polished database pages linked directly from cultivar records and collection summaries.
Useful history starting points
- Moragne Plumerias. Review the imported Moragne reference material as a source for cultivar history.
- Katie Moragne. Preserve breeder and collection context that can support future cultivar records.
- Plumeria Society history. Keep official and society-related references separate from informal cultivar claims.
- Collection notes. Use source history to improve collections without creating duplicate cultivar records.
